summer, summer, summertime

Besides bbqs, the beach and the pool of course here's 5 things I love in Summertime:

1. Cagogiro gelato. I like to visit the store near 20th and Spruce here in Philly.I tried the pineapple mint with a scoop of cashew just recently--- heavenly. You must get the right combo on your spoon and let it swirl on your tongue.

2.Sunflowers- well these are actually my favorite flower period.

3. Cut off jeans- Around Mid Spring I go through my closet and take all of those jeans that have either been washed to death or whatever and I turn them into cutoffs.

4. Fly mani's and pedi's- in the summer I like to experiment wih my nail and toe colors-- I normally try to stay in the nudes and reds family during the rest of the year. This summer I want Louboutin nails-- if you havent seen this it's basically whatever on top- with red painted under the nailbed, just like Louboutin shoes.

5. A great Summer tote of course- beach, weekend getaways,poolside-- you get the idea. This is where the NKHenry Summer essentials tote comes in. Ahh Spring...

We have been a way from blogging for a while, yes. NKHenry is currently in transition or transformation and the new us will bloom along with the flowers over the next month or so.  We are no longer a "handmade" business- in the "crafty" sense- if we've ever been. NKHenry is now a independent designer brand. We will largely be working with local(Philly & NY) contractors and manufacturers. More details on our transition will follow in subsequent blog posts.

During our transformation (which includes a new website to debut early May), all new items will be available for direct purchase only via PayPal or Google Checkout as pre-order purchases.

Change is good

My bleach blonde highlights are hibernating right now. Winter's a coming so I thought I needed a change- I almost forgot what I looked like with my natural hair color and that's never good. So I'm back to my au natural tresses, although I put a little auburn highlight in it- I'm trying to test drive that color to see if it's me.

So I debuted my new pin-up/ pin back look while out on the town last night and I bought my NikkiGirl clutch out with me too and both the hair and the bag were a hit. So I think I'll keep it au natural for now.
